Details: | This scammer purchased a laptop from me and gave 1620 E Ayre Street, Wilmington DE as the ship address. 4 days after they received the laptop, they claimed it was faulty and would not turn on. I had fully charged and tested the laptop the night before shipping so I thought this was fishy. I asked them a few questions and of course they did not respond. Ebay pushes the seller to initiate the refund regardless so I started the refund process. Buyer initiates shipment of the item except they send it to a completely different address so I never get the item back. I get USPS and Ebay involved and after some googling and going through the ebay forums I find out this is a scam. The address of 1620 E Ayre Street, Wilmington DE is a global warehouse called OneX. This scammer (any several others like them) have items shipped here and then have them ship to a different address to avoid getting the local PD involved. This particular scammer shipped the item back from Dallas, TX. They then claim the item is faulty with no intention of sending the item back. They either send a completely different item or they end up sending a completely non existent item to a completely different address. This marks the item as delivered so when the buyer starts a dispute on Ebay, Ebay will favor the buyer because the item is marked as delivered. |
