Details: | Buyer suffers from "whiny baby syndrome". I offered a new Citizen Eco-Drive watch on a watch forum for $500. Buyer messaged me and wanted it for $400. I politely declined and thanked him for the offer. He then said if he could have it for $450. I told him I was already selling it at a loss so I had to be firm on the price. He agreed on my asking price and made a payment. I shipped the watch. After about a week after he received it, he messaged me saying the watch stopped working and that he wanted to return it but would prefer not to go the Post Office and just get a partial refund of $100 to keep it. Obviously, no one wants a broken watch... what's the point of keeping it for a partial refund? This is what's called a no-win scenario. If I give him the partial refund, he gets it at the price he originally wanted and he will continue doing the same thing to other people. And if I say OK on the return, he will purposefully damage the watch and send it back then I am out the money and a re-sellable product. No win. Guys, if you have the bad luck to deal with this guy, avoid him at all costs. |
