Contacted for a large order of a product, which would require two pallets to ship. Once he received the price quote on the order, he proceeded to tell me to contact the following company to set up 2-3 day shipping to Trinidad and Tobago. None of the information for the buyer's company or the shipping company yielded any search results. Once I explained to him that he would have to set up the shipping himself since it was not one of our company's preferred carriers, he called me an asshole and told me to buy the goods myself. I called the number, which led me to him, but he had a heavy accent and sounded like there was background noise that suggested that it wasn't a legitimate place of business. He proceeded to tell me that I had to set up shipping with their carrier first before he would place the order. I even offered him free shipping within the continental U.S., which would certainly save costs for any reasonable buyer, but he said he would rather pay what it costs to go direct from our warehouse after I set up and pay for the shipping.
