Sold Brand New Item factory sealed Epson R280 printer - on Ebay - with no refunds. A couple days later Buyer Said it didn't work. He or she described reason which was contradictory to item operation. Person said print head didn't move.. Wanted a refund. Well you cannot even install print cartridges if the print head does not move. So that is the 1st contradiction, etc.

I contacted, person never responded - and immediately filed a return with Ebay - then filed case
Ebay automatically allowed him to return and get refund. Ebay refused any evidence from me.

Buyer returned Item with broken side door. Item was opened in front of media person on film (seemless) at post office.. even before taking out of box you could see side door off. Then we plugged in - and print head immediately moved. Wow!

Buyer has scammed me. He messed up item. Was dishonest to ebay.. I have un-edited film, etc. I have tried to deal with through ebay. Buyer provided this address to send item to as a gift. But had different name on Ebay and location.. Hongzhen Chen. with location of Blaine State: MN.

I have filed a IC3 complaint.. I have reported buyer to Ebay - I am so disappointed as Ebay never gave one second to hear any evidence - as they granted the buyer everything.. If you need any further evidence I have UN-deniable video..

12/13/15 I just had a similar experience with this buyer, Hongzhen Chen. He bought a toner and demanded signature confirmation not paid for and said item was being sent as a gift. After I shipped, he said I needed to call the post office and ask for the item back because his gift recipient was out of the country "for a long time". Per auction description, I don't offer refunds and certainly could not simply call the USPS and ask for the package back. After 14 days, the item was never picked up and was returned to me, damaged, cannot be re-sold. I'm sure he's going to ask for a refund. I reported Hongzhen Chen to ebay and they did not seem very concerned. I'm hoping that ebay will see the suspicious activity and fraud complaint notes from my report and deny his refund. Hongzhen Chen has multiple ebay names that he uses (brandnew818 & dong685) which I found out after he purchased a second toner of the exact same type! Same demands of signature confirmation and sending to third party as a gift. I immediately cancelled the purchase and refunded his money, notifying ebay of fraudulent activity again.

Strange because I have just had exactly the same experience with this buyer called "cheap2all" on Ebay - the person's name was Hongzhen Chen based in Minnesota. I also sold him an Epson R280 printer - this was brand new. He asked me to send it to another person with a different verified PayPal address, also as a "gift". I later got a return request from him saying it was not working because ONE of the ink cartridges apparently did not work. This was a new Epson printer supplied in the box and the ink cartridges were original Epson. The chances of the a new Epson printer not working are close to zero, especially with original ink cartridges, and the buyer made no attempt to even bother trying a different cartridge to see if that was the problem (assuming the story was true). I asked for further details and a screenshot to show the printer ink for one of the cartridges did not work but got no reply, instead I had a returns escalation request. Result is the printer is being returned to me, I am liable to pay over $40 shipping costs both ways (over $80 in total), and of course a whole set of original Epsom ink cartridges has been lost and useless to sell separately because they have been installed, and the printer is no longer brand new because an installation has been attempted. Worst of all though, the risk is this person will switch my new printer for a broken one in the return. With evidence mounting against this person, surely ebay should be doing something about it.

I suggest we and anyone else who experienced problems with this person are persistent in reporting this person. I have a long history on ebay, have been a very respectable seller, and it is not right that a person profits by abusing the system at great expense to everyone else.

Actually - if nothing is done to help the sellers... This has definitely affected me wanting to sell on Ebay.. They are losing money from us sellers.. By not helping to protect sellers.. This buyer is a scammer.. Definately..

If you guys would like to file a joint lawsuit against this individual - or complaints to police, etc.. I will be in.. I am surprised this person is still allowed on Ebay.. After all the complaints, and messages I wrote Ebay about this. Ebay did nothing at all to help me with this scammer.

Did you try contacting Ebay by phone? I am amazed this fraudster has been allowed to continue. It looks like he is using a network of associates and different IDs to operate his scheme.

Ebay does not care..... I am a media person as well. I have videos, photos, etc. They didn't even want to look at anything.. I could have exposed this user on TV news as well. And I still might - if we can get a few more people together that were scammed by them.
