| Details: | I was selling my laptop on eBay and this buyer contacted me and we communicated through email. He told me to request him on PayPal for the laptop amount and sent me a as PayPal and send me a fraudulent email saying that I had been paid $1000. However I “would not receive the funds until I shipped the item and sent the tracking number”. Fortunately eBay contacted me warning me against shipping anything, and luckily I hadn’t. |

Had same e-mail reach out for an iPad I was selling. Wanted to circumvent the ebay platform. Do not fall for this! May them pay first then you ship.

The seller is in breach of ebay contact by providing customer detailed. The seller can also be sued for giving out personal information. Ebay has done this before to seller who uses this site.
