Details: | This buyer won an auction for a broken Droid cell phone and then said he needed more time to pay, being naive I shipped anyway. When he said it would take longer I filed a claim with ebay, he called me from a Ymax Oration number giving me a sob story about a sudden death in the family as if that would tie up a $40 purchase. The address I shipped to was a rented P.O. Box from TransExpress, Inc. If you look at the reviews it seems P.O. Boxes at "7801 NW 37th St, Miami, FL 33166" are common destinations for ebay scams. I would recommend canceling ANY order with this address. |

You shouldn't ship before receiving payment. I'm not saying he isn't a scammer but you could have avoided the situation.

As soon as somebody starts talking about deaths in the family, sick kids, or anything in that area, I just assume they're lying and move to cancel the entire deal. "Yeah, bud... sorry to hear your autistic grandmother died and your kid has Stage XVI Turbo Cancer. We'll just put this transaction off until things are a bit more settled."
