Buyer purchased a bottle of Macallan 18 single malt scotch from me for $297 plus shipping but upon receipt claimed there was damage to the outer cardboard Macallan box in which the bottle is sold and that the bottle didn't seem to be "pristine." There was no damage and the bottle was sealed and in perfect condition. When I asked for photos, the buyer didn't respond but opened a case with eBay. On January 6, 2019, eBay found in the Buyer's favor (very bogus procedure) but required that the bottle be returned to me before a refund was issued. On January 16, 2019, the buyer purportedly sent the return and USPS tracking reported that it was delivered at 12:33 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019, on a holiday weekend. But it was delivered to a completely different address in the same town and zip code as Buyer claimed to have sent it, an address at which I never lived. I tried to track down the return through the postal office, and when I determined it had intentionally been sent to a wrong address, obtained necessary documentation from post office and notified eBay on January 23, 2019. eBay promptly reversed its decision and credited the refund amount back to my account. It does not appear that anything was returned except perhaps an empty box or some unrelated item. A bottle of scotch weighs 3 lbs. The item returned to the wrong address weighed 1 lb.

This pattern matches other Bad Buyer reports on this person who apparently uses various names and usernames but resides at 1704 S 6th St., Apt 1, Alhambra CA 91803.

The above described conduct constitutes a scheme or artifice to defraud using the interstate mails and/or wires for communication, a federal criminal offense. Based on the number of allegations of similar or identical conduct reflecting the same modus operandi, I have brought this matter to the attention of eBay, which seems to be a primary victim. Hopefully it will file a claim with the US Postal Inspector.
