I just fell victim to the buyer at this address. I sold an iPhone in mint condition with original box and accessories. The buyer is contesting sell stating that the phone is broken. PayPal will not release my funds and ebay sided with the buyer. The address of the buyer is 7 Lewis Circle, WILMINGTON Delaware. Ebay does not believe me and refuses to investigate the buyer st this address. Does anyone know what I can do? How did your case turn out?

Ebay just automatically sided with this buyer and issued them a refund. They provided ebay with a tracking number of a package that was delivered to my address. However, the package contained a pack of 4 Christmas bulbs! LOL.. not my $400 phone. They out-smarted ebay and now I am left to fight for my money back. I have begged ebay to ban this individual. I pray that this does not happen to another innocent person.

I saw another post from the ebay community about this address. Ebay really needs to take some action to protect the sellers. This address should be FLAGGED by ebay as fraudulent. The name of my "buyer" was a Russian name and she did NOT live at this address. I am getting more than a little concerned about eBay's security methods. This is not good. BTW: My "buyer's" name was supposedly Evgenia Akatieva.

I decided to cancel order and issue PayPal refund because of the reports here and other places. I called eBay and reported this all to them and also reported the seller. Glad there is a service like this.

I did a little research and it looks like that address is a company called shopfans that allows people in Russia to order an item shipped to a USA shopfans address and then Shopfans forwards the item to their customers address in Russia. I'm contesting the claims with PayPal as we speak. This person is obviously a scammer and from my research, it looks like they have been stealing from people for well over a year.

I just had a person named Andrew N. with account name sonidero_king_114_0, use the Buy Now option of an item of mine. As I had the item set to sale to EU only I looked in a bit further. The name wasn’t complete, the Ebay account was new and the address showed a commercial property area on Google Maps. A bit alarmed, I decided to take the item off Ebay. Searching a bit further brought me here; thankfully my gut feeling helped me. The Ebay buyerprotection was a good thing, but from what I read about how criminal buyers abuse it, made me decide to take my items off Ebay and only sell through a proven local auction site.

Wow, they almost got me. Glad I checked the address. They "bought" a laptop from me on a best offer, but something just seemed off on address, so I did a search and found this thread. Cancelled the order in time!

This buyer was extremely difficult - he bought my item, didn't pay, and then asked multiple questions which made no sense. II figured he was either a child or English wasn't his first language, which is of course no crime, but I could not answer his "questions" After two futile messages back and forth, I again asked for payment and he kept sending more nonsense questions.

Long story short, I Googled the name and address, saw he was a scammer, and refunded his money.

Transaction was canceled without sending the item, I was suspicious from the start because I had explicitly filtered out all foreign buyers through site shipping preferences, and still got a russian buyer. Address search luckily brought this site up and and others immediately.

Google maps shows shopfans(dot)ru at that location, right click the building and choose "what's here" to display building tenant. The reviews left for that business are people complaining of being scammed. Maybe some legitimate users exist, but the risk is too high which is unfortunate for all.

But worst of all is how hard ebay makes it to block and report such services. Not even a "describe your reason" window when canceling the transaction.

We will see if they try to file a claim & then Ebay will take it from there. After doing some more research, it appears this address may be some kind forwarding address? I’m not entirely certain. I am uncertain if N0by1g is actually a scammer. He does has a good eBay rating so I could very well be wrong about this particular person but I’m personally not going to risk it. He seems nice enough except for his constant cussing.

The address belongs to the forwarding service company as it was stated above so most of the people buying at this address are just buyers from other countries - the risk is about the same as for standard shipping, so do not treat all the buyers are the same here. Review eBay rating for the particular person at least before cancelling.

Do not suspect everyone. This is a transport company. I myself use her services. My rating on ebay 1800 is 100% positive. Scammers are everywhere. Check the rating of Ebay!

So I was "employed" by a company called "Nordbox Logistics" and They used my address and name as a way of "package laundering" They used several stolen credit cards to purchase items and had the purchases linked to my name and address so I could ship it to the scammer for them. That way, if investigated, their name is clean and I'm thrown under the bus for something illegal that I did not consent to. The thing that threw me off was the fact that the company said I would receive the items and ship it internationally, which would make sense, but instead sent it to me to send to Delaware to their "distribution center." EBay is now harder than raising a toddler when it comes to scammers and non-payer/non-communicators. I have to babysit every auction.
EBay is narrowing the options for sellers. They take away our ability to leave bad feedback etc.
And, the unpaid item case is an avenue that ties up my items for about 15 days from auction start to the closure of the unpaid item case. Give me a break. I had one item go through that process THREE times!
If I had another option ...I would ditch eBay quickly. Sellers get the raw deal.

Scammers are hunting through Ebay looking for people that just sold a large ticket item like a diamond then sending an email stating that they are the buyer (the account doesn't match the winner of course) and that they want it sent to a different address because they are out of town. Its just a forwarder called shopfans. Of a few million customers (judging by the STE numbers) it is no surprise that some are scammers. Think of it like this: Without the forwarder none of these customers would be buying from any of us at all. Check ratings!!

I saw this page after googling my customer's address and was very concerned. After a lot of research and following up on some of the comments here I came to understand it's just a mail forwarding service used by many Russian customers. My customer paid with PayPal, and everything went very smoothly. I would say that it would pay to be a little extra cautious any time you're dealing with a mail forwarding service, but you don't have to panic. Just dig around in your customer's feedback profile and make sure everything looks right, and be sure to use shipping confirmation and follow all the other requirements you'll be expected to have abided by in case a dispute arises.

I'm beyond lost for words, I found this website a little too late, but eBay has responded and acted very quickly.
I too had recently sold an iPhone 7 Plus in Mint condition. The buyer like all others have told. Responded with a damaged iPhone and requested for a refund. I receive a cheap bracelet instead of my iPhone. Is there a way of somehow being able to track down my iPhone, I still have all the information.

Yep. This is the guy alright. Bought a Titanfall Pop off of me. I got paid alright, but then he claims that he never got it. Tried sending a USPS Package search or whatever it was called, saw the address automatically redirected to Indiana, looked up the address to see out of curiosity how it looked like and this is the first hit I get.

Nope. Not gonna pull that one on me. Reported him to Ebay, cut all contact with him and, after reading that somebody got hacked before by him, also unlinked my Paypal and Credit Card info. The good thing that came out of this is that now I'm gonna be more cautious in the future and look this stuff up first before shipping.

The address 4 Lewis Circle belongs to Barami.com, a reshipper for Georgia and Russia, they know there's a problem with this but there's not much they can do to prevent it because the Scammers simply get a new account. Same with eBay.

I'm trying to sell a laptop with seems to be a magnet for scammers this is the 3rd bad offer I have gotten. One thing they have all had in common is that the buyer is based outside the US and they always mention that they are buying it for a friend or family member.

I am not convinced that the address is the problem.
I believe this is a freight forwarding company, and some of the buyers who use it

Apparently this scammer is still active. Someone using the ebay name fmvor-97 used buy-it-now to purchase a $30,000 item from me. It was paid for using a paypal e check, which takes 3-5 days to clear.

buyer purchased Macbook.. they are using stolen credit card information / paypal information. The way to bypass the credit card company picking it up is to ask you to change the address in messages. DO NOT DO IT EVER. NEVER CHANGE ADDRESS FOR ANYONE.. The scammers are using VPNS on eBay.. it changes their actual location and IP addresses, they will continue to remake false accounts or hack others. Anyone who has gotten scammed should report this re-shipper to the United States Postal Inspector..

I had someone order a $345 necklace on ebay, buy it now. When i went to create the shipping label the STE number just seemed so odd... so i put it in google and found all this info above. The person has 842 positive ebay feedbacks, I still cancelled and refunded them, forwarding shippers are the devil. You will get burned. Seller beware.

Spoke with eBay regarding this address in DE. They said to not cancel the order and stated that because it is a forwarding service, seller liability ends once the package is delivered to the United States address, and that the buyers lose their seller protections by using a forwarding service. As long as you have tracking and can prove it was delivered to the United States address provided, you are covered and cancelling the order will result in a defect.

This person hacked into my PayPal account and used my name and full address to order from a company called Ultimate Finish to buy car wax. Luckily, i had no money in my PayPal account for them to take from, but could have been a lot worse!

Be careful with PayPal, as when i reported this as suspicious activity, they then went to say that it wasn't suspicious!

Has it occurred to any of you that it’s not all the buyers and that there’s some sort of scam happening to them too? It could be a type of bot or computer virus infected in eBay. Guessing there. Because I’m a buyer who had my shipment rerouted to Delaware! I didn’t send it there! I never typed that address or changed my permanent address. In fact it didn’t match my account address. I have no reason to lie! I lost $300.00 and never received my items.

I assume you guys don’t care about your buyers being ripped off and eBay certainly doesn’t care to figure it out. I don’t make tones of money! Happened to me. Buyer is Vladimir Shutov, but eBay ID is a 7 digit number. When I saw "Russian Federation", I Googled the address '7 Lewis Cir, Wilmington, DE' (with some lame 6 digit suite number), I found this page. I immediately cancelled the sale/refunded the money and sent the buyer a message that the sale was canceled and if there is a problem with that, they should contact eBay directly. I am not going to deal with it.

When I tried to do a Google Street View, Google does not show the end of the street where this address is supposed to be located.

Ebay advised me to cancel the sale noting "problem with buyers address". Buyer first contacted me saying shipping was too high to Russia, then purchased with US address.

I also just received a message off Ebay from username: jonasteph-22 . They claim they were the real buyer although they did not bid at all.

Been scammed two times from buyers using a Wilmington, DE address. They claim items are not as described and when I tell them to send the items back and I will issue a full a refund, they refuse to send items back. So tired of this.

I think you misunderstand what is happening with these addresses. The people who are your buyers/sellers are located in Russia. Many of you will not ship to Russia, also it is expensive, subject to lengthy custom procedures. So those poor (or not so poor) guys use shipping aggregators that are located at the above addresses. First an item is shipped to the aggregator (identified by the funny number). Then shipped to Russia in bulk. Those customers, if they are unhappy about the delivery have no way to return the item to you (there is no possibility to return through the aggreggator).

All the above does not mean there is no fraud but probably not on a scale described above.

Just try to understand that not the whole world is as lucky as USA in terms of easiness of purchasing online.

Purchased two expensive items from me on two different Poshmark accounts. I had already sent out one of the items before he purchased the second item on another account. Turns out both these accounts have been hacked. I managed to find the owner of the first account on another platform who confirmed their Poshmark account was hacked.

I looked up the second account and post history included trying to buy an IPhone with the same shady behavior: "Hi I bought this and changed the address, please send to ___. It's a gift. If possible today. Thanks."

This is an ongoing and active Russian scam. Please do not fall victim to it. I managed to successfully a USPS intercept before he screwed me over.

Just over this weekend had a buyer with a Russian name using the 402 Meco Dr address in Wilmongton, DE. It was a fairly espensive item (over $1,000.00) and I am suspecting these scammers are still operating. Will not be sending this item to a reshipper

The address in DE is a freight company that fraudesters use to get packages stolen the fastest. They buy a PO box type address and then that company ships it to the real address. You need to contact the local police department in DE and have them shut that operations down. Since this has been going on for years, you idiot sellers are too fucken stupid to read!
