| Details: | I bought NEW textbook for class from GlassFrogBooks. It was promised to me in 14 days. After 17 days, I emailed, and they did not reply. Then, two weeks after my class had started, and THIRTY FOUR DAYS after I ordered, I got the book. It was not new, and it had paperwork from another seller. I paid $118 dollars for a new copy and GlassFrogBooks paid $12 for a used copy that they had sent to me.

GFBooks on AbeBooks, GlassFrogBooks, etc... Whatever this scammer calls himself.... They significantly overcharge, total bookjacker, and respond if you do not include a site's customer service. Once you involve customer service, they go completely silent, like a child in trouble. The owner should be embarrassed and barred from every site. They send damaged products and expect us to be stupid enough to return the items and "hope" we get our money returned. My order was shipped directly to me with the details from GF buying the item and having it shipped to me from another company. I reported it all to AbeBooks and followed up every single day until something was done. I'll continue to report and share the details everywhere until this guy gives up and quits. He wanted to waste my time? Now he will see how much time I have to dedicate to exposing the scam!

Glass Frog Books - now GF Books - is a bookjacker. He has no inventory. He lists millions of books that he does not have. When someone orders from him, he then orders from another seller who does have the book. But he orders a cheaper copy in worse condition.
If you pay him 55 dollars for a new copy, he will pay some other seller 20 dollars for a used copy, and have them send it to you. He pockets the difference.
Many people do not consider it worth their time to correct this. They know that they did not get what they ordered, but it is close enough, so they take the loss without doing anything. They believe that it is just an honest mistake, or a slight error in description.
What they do not realize is that it is deliberate - that GF Books intended to scam them from the beginning.
Google 'bookjacking'.

We have a copyright assignment agreement for the works of the author Hélio Couto, we do not authorize the sale of new books in Brazil and in other countries, therefore the client GF Books, Inc. violates our copyright by selling our new books in Brazil and the US. I'd like to report this vendor's offers to be withdrawn.

I am the author of some of the book GF Books is "selling" on ABE Books and reading the comments above is relieving because the man is bookjacker and have absolutely no authorization from me for selling MY books. Hopefully I have full control of my selling and can see that he didn't sell any of them but still, it's not fair.
