I just had a disaster ebay transaction, that although it was ruled in my favor, I would love to have those 5 hours of my life back that I spent wrestling on the phone.

This was a doll transaction on ebay. over 250.
full insured. priority. sig conf.

I was the seller
The buyer didn't go to pick it up after not being available for delivery.

After maybe 2 weeks, I msg'd to ask if there was an issue. Rather than respond, they filed a DidNotRecieve...which was ruled in my favor since it was clearly out for deliver.

Then they asked me to refund them, which I declined to do because I can't file an insurance claim on something that is still out for delivery.

If I had done that, they would have been able to walk down to their PO and get the item and also have their funds back.

I asked why they did not contact me before filing a claim, they said "they could not contact me without filing a claim". I replied with a screen shot of how you can contact a seller at any time.

At that point, I turned it over to ebay because I felt they were no longer acting in good faith.

Then they asked me to call USPS and arrange for redelivery to another address (not available on this package anyway).

Then finally, yesterday, they went and picked up the package. Which they could have done at any point.

This seller is a registered ebayer with perfect 2400 rating. They are also set up as California corporation since 2012. They have a website in chinese. I figured they were a rebuying service and thought it would be an easy as pie transaction since I knew my product and my methods were legit.

I'd like to be able to help other people avoid this person since it was a waste of time and if I did not understand the system, I could have gotten hosed.
