Bassotto84 won an item of mine. Bassotto84 didn't pay and didn't respond to polite messages. After waiting about 1.5 weeks for payment, I checked bassotto84's feedback and noticed they had multiple feedbacks indicating they were a habitual non-payer. Example feedback from the first 2 pages: "WHY BID IF YOU CAN'T HONOR AUCTION - SELLER'S HAS TO PAY A FEE FOR ITEM !!!", "tHIS TRANSACTION WAS CANCELLED AND REFUNDED" Since bassotto84 did not pay and was ignoring me, I took this to mean bassotto84 did not intend to pay so I opened an unpaid case. Right before the case was to close, bassotto84 paid but strangely asked me not to ship for 2 weeks (said they were on vacation but the item was going overseas so there was no reason to wait on shipping). I shipped anyway, stating I was uncomfortable holding on to the item for so long and that she would be back home before the item got there anyway. I warned them I was going to ship and asked them if that was OK but never got any response from bassotto84. Then what do you know, a few weeks later bassotto84 claims item is "missing" a part. After clarifying the description with her (description said the part was "shredded" and "disintegrated" with two pictures of the part), I found out she either did not read the description (or ignored photos) or was capitalizing on an opportunity to get out of paying. I suspect bassotto84's goal was to pay in order to get out of the unpaid strike, then get their money back anyway. They had to open a Paypal case because it was too late to open an eBay case -- that's how long they waited to pay! Bassotto84 lied about their customs fees, claiming they were $45 for a ~$100 item (impossible), this was their reason for not returning the item. .... You will note that there is a drop in negative feedback after eBay no longer allowed sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers. Anyone who sells on eBay knows a seller is really sticking their neck out to leave feedback, so negative feedback for buyers is underrepresented. The very fact that bassotto84 is still getting negative feedback is VERY telling.
