Still strange, but how did this person get all our names and addresses? The package was from walmart.com and it was 2 packs of Dubble Bubble chewing gum. Not to mention, i got it on halloween. This was suspiciously shipped the same day as someone stole my credit card number and purchased a $700+ microphone from Amazon. I'm still dealing with the fallout from that. Bank reversed the charge, but Amazon has locked my account because they say it was delivered and it wasn't. They can't even tell me WHERE it was delivered.

Amazon uses this generic phone number with different extensions to keep sellers from communicating directly with Amazon customers. That's why the phone number is the same, but the extension is always different.

Had a unexpected walmart order show up with some rubber bands. This number was on the envelope, called customer service and got some info. I recently ordered an item from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. The item in question is coming to me direct from walmart now as the amazon seller just listed the item for 15 dollars more and when I placed my Amazon order they submitted a walmart.com order on my behalf... so why the rubber bands? Walmart offers free shipping on orders over 35 dollars so they added this item to cross that threshold. According to the person I spoke to this happens frequently.

This number is how Amazon allows you to contact customers without giving out their personal information. Why people are getting random packages i don't know. Check your CC statements, be careful and good luck. I did a little research as my company had an issue with an Amazon customer using this number. I researched all our orders and they all had this or 1 other number with a different extension.

Likewise, I too received a package from Walmart that I didn't order; a package of Chewy Chips Ahoy (so in a way I'm glad I didn't get the nail polish, motorcycle air filters, or the cat pattern broach as mentioned above, lol!). My package did not have an extension which seems different from what the rest of you experienced. Very odd indeed. I too will be watching my bank account more closely.

I randomly received two packages of gum from walmart.com with this phone number, which this thread helped me trace back to Amazon. I looked at my recent orders on amazon.com and found that the fedex tracking number was an exact match to one of my orders which was supposedly delivered that same day, but wasn't. I contacted the seller and they responded that the package would arrive in several days. The new tracking number they sent me showed that the "real" package was shipped earlier that day, before I even contacted them about the problem. Assuming I do eventually get the real item I ordered, it looks to me like this is a way for sellers to cheat and make it look like they have a good on-time delivery track record when their shipments are actually late.

My ebay was just hacked by somebody with this number! I never recieved the $12 Duplo set I ordered for my little boy. I had not received it even though it said it had been delivered. I checked and it appears that my account was hacked and my address changed to a lady with a different address. I don't believe this lady had anything to do with the scam, so I won't list her address here. I googled her and she looks to be a normal/non-ebay-hacking type, but the number listed was this (763)225-9463. I contacted ebay, and I should be reimbursed for the Duplo set at least. But I am sad I didn't receive my package, it was a decent price on a rare set!

I think it's definitely a scam that a group of people are running using Amazon as their platform. Amazon needs to pick this up and figure it out, it's so sketchy.

I could not get an answer on who paid for this product. I am sending the product back to the supplier. If they send it back, I will donate to the First Tee.

I just received a personalized puzzle of a map of my neighborhood. It was shipped from England through Amazon with my last name slightly misspelled. Like everyone else, it lists 1-763-225-9463 as the phone number but with ext. 56371.

But what tipped me off was that this scammer included "Do not incLude invoice" in the optional address line! (With that weird capital "L"). Part 1: I got random box with catfood. It came the same day as an item we got from Amazon. This freaked me out and set me to research. What i learned was the Amazon item we purchased was probably "dropshipped" by the seller. Dropshipping means they list the order for sale on amazon, find it somewhere else for cheaper, and then ship it to you. (Hence the amazon customer service number 763-225-9463 being listed on the box).

Part 2: So sometimes, the dropshipping seller may add an item to make it free shipping to get to you in time, which happened in a few instances in this thread. (I am not sure how this is ultimately profitable, but whatever). In our case, the seller literally shipped an item from a different, random website directly to us. (bonus, we now know where to buy it for cheaper). We can see their name in the "bill to" and ours in the "ship to" on the invoice. (Apparently, dropshippers often put a special request of "no invoice in the box" for this very reason.) But what was very weird was the catfood from walmart.com. I can only conclude that the seller simply got some orders mixed up and shipped us $50 worth of catfood on accident. (Luckily, we have a cat).

Part 3: So anyone getting random stuff (be it from wish, walmart, or somwhere random), might be getting a accidentally messed up order from a past dropshipping seller that you bought something from on amazon, or they might be adding small items to orders to get "free" shipping. I supposed it's possible that there's some sort of scam going on, or that your account is compromised, so obviously check those. (i checked every card and bank account and walmart and ebay, everything, even credit karma to see if i could see a new account opened. I was super freaked out.) But ultimately, it just seems like this weird outgrowth of our digital economy.

I also received a 'trivial' item from walmart.com that I didn't order. Same phone number (minus extension) was listed on the package that all the other posts noted, and also no invoice. I could find no where that we have been hacked, but will try to monitor just in case. Sad sign of the times I guess.

I have multiple 100% guaranteed fraud orders from Saint Paul MN. So when I saw this number associated with that area it freaked me out. Long story short buyers and sellers from that area are coordinating to buy return switch and resell my products between amazon and eBay. F*** Saint Paul MN buyers and sellers.

This phone number is an INTERAL AMAZON NUMBER.

How it works: Amazon won't release customer phone numbers to sellers to protect the customers privacy, so they give this (or one of multiple other numbers that are internal Amazon numbers) and an extension which identifies to Amazon who the buyer is. If this number is called Amazon forwards the call to the customers real phone number, and then listens in on the call to make sure the seller isn't trying to sell something outside of Amazon.

This is an Amazon number and not any customers phone number - confirmed by Amazon Seller Support when I asked them about it after an issue with a customer that had this number.

shipped to a customer with the same number with different extensions. They are now claiming they did not receive the order and pretty sure they want to ask for a refund next.

I just received a package with a shipping label with someone else's name and this number on it. The package also had my name and address on another label . Shipped with UPS. Bother tracking numbers are the same . What should I do about this ?

We just received an order worth 589$… ten items on Amazon. Pretty worried about the outcome! Same information as listen two comments above. Same phone number. Super concerning!

This guy is still at it. Sent out new product. He returns a unit made in 2013 for return.

We received an empty package that we did not order from P/O Box 163175 Avienda de Parque De, Africa Caracolas 2 Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The number in the address has this phone number 763-225-9463. We are taking the package to the police station to see if they can do anything with it. From these posts this has been going on for at least 4 years. Kind of weird and creepy.
