Buyer got in touch to say a low value, untracked item hadn't been received. Somehow, even though I didn't pay for recorded delivery, the reference code for the item given to my by the PO showed that it was delivered on a certain date, at a certain time. I shared this screenshot with her, suggesting she check with a neighbour in case it was delivered to them by mistake. Radio silence ensued for 2 days. I contacted her to check if it had turned up yet. She said it had. Very odd since it was delivered on a Monday, but she didn't complain about the item missing until the following Saturday. I can't imagine a neighbour would hold onto something for that long without letting her know?
I smelt a fish, called her out on it and thankfully she went away, but I doubt I was the first or will be the last that she tried to scam.
