Cognitively impaired buyer, buying things on Amazon, submitting AtoZ Claims to get things for free, and of course won't respond to messages. // Buyer purchased a vintage CHILDREN's book from us on Amazon. We shipped the book using USPS Priority Mail, which includes delivery confirmation and $100 insurance against loss or damage. The USPS online tracking number clearly showed the book was delivered to the address given by the buyer, and delivered in only 3 days. The buyer claimed he did not receive the book, and filed an A-to-Z claim. Amazon granted the A-to-Z claim, and we are now fighting with Amazon. We of course tried to submit an insurance claim to USPS for "non-delivery", but we received a formal letter back from the US Postal Service denying the insurance, because of course, THE BOOK WAS SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED. When we googled the buyer's name, we saw that 6 weeks earlier, the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons posted an alert for this buyer, who they said "is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment", and "wandered away" from his job at Walmart. So a 48 year old man with mental impairment is shopping on Amazon and has figured out how to get things for free.
