I sold a pin on my husband's account Ebay .99 cent auction closed at over 100 dollars for a genuine gemstone pin from late 1700 to early 1800's, the winning bidder was unfortunately eunice7795 the pin arrived to her on Thursday and on Saturday I get this message:

"received pin yesterday...it's very cute...but i was very disappointed that
one of the stones was missing. [small round citrine looking one] also
according to my gemologist the 'stones' are glass...

So long story short: her "gemologist" is her husband, and he must not be certified because he misidentified garnet as not a gemstone due to singularly refractive (garnets are only singularly refractive) He also argued that the amethyst was not genuine because it was 1.64 instead of 1.54 on the Mohs hardness scale. He insists this makes it glass even though glass has a 1.34 which shows the purple stone is a higher grade gem than amethyst. But I digress.

This buyer eunice7795 has taken advantage of the ebay buyer protection policy because either she or her idiot husband stepped on or otherwise mangled the pin they bought from me.

What I got in the mail back from them was in no way the same thing I sent. There was a missing stone and there was a broken weld mark as well as a bend to the back bar. The pin itself was bent out of shape. So you can see why I would like to tell others what happened. This couple run an antique jewelry business but they are liars and will fraud you claiming that they are "Gemologists".

They prey on ebay sellers hoping to get a deal and if they are not happy they just hit the item with a hammer and file an ebay case.
